Five Reasons to Join the Chateau des Charmes Members Club Before Fall

Updated: Jul 24

There’s a version of the Chateau des Charmes experience that goes beyond a single visit to the winery or a bottle picked up on a road trip through Niagara-on-the-Lake. It's the kind where the wine shows up at your door before you've had enough time to place another order. Where a six-person tasting is already covered. Where the specifics are taken care of by someone else, saving you the trouble.

Here are five reasons to join the Chateau des Charmes Members Club before fall arrives if you've been considering it.

1. Six Curated Bottles Arrive at Your Door Every Season

Six carefully chosen bottles from the Chateau des Charmes estate are sent right to your home every quarter. These aren't random selections; instead, each shipment is carefully chosen to showcase the best products from the cellar at that particular time, including a blend of limited-edition bottles, current releases, and seasonally appropriate wines.

Tasting notes and wine-paired recipes are included with every shipment so you know just what to pour and serve with it. A delivery becomes an experience because of this kind of careful attention to detail.

A quarterly shipment from one of Niagara's most reputable estate vineyards is a great option for anyone who finds themselves running out of good wine at the perfect time—during a dinner party, the evening before a long weekend, or a quiet Friday when you just want something exceptional.

2. Complimentary Tastings for You and Up to Six Guests

Your tasting flight at Chateau des Charmes in Niagara-on-the-Lake is always free for you and up to six guests. That equates to seven people tasting the whole estate lineup on each visit at no cost.

Consider the practical implications of that. You have friends from out of town coming to visit. You want to spend a fall afternoon on the estate with your family. You want to spend an afternoon in wine country in a way that is truly stunning. The sampling is already handled as a member. The wines are poured as you and your friends arrive.

It's one of the finest value afternoons in Niagara-on-the-Lake when combined with the Signature Tour, which includes five estate tastings and a guided tour of the fermentation cellar and subterranean barrel caverns.

3. Fifteen Percent Off Every Bottle, Every Time

Members are eligible for a special 15% discount on all wines and products, both online and in-store. On each order. Every visit. No expiration date or minimum.

The savings quickly offset the cost of membership alone for anyone who purchases one or two cases per season. Additionally, there is always something worth stocking up on at Chateau des Charmes, where the estate selection includes everything from the robust Gamay Noir  to the mineral-driven Fume Blanc to the award-winning  Brut Sparkling.

Pro Tip: You may purchase some of Ontario's best estate wines at rates that are truly difficult to resist by combining your 15% member discount with any seasonal promotions.

What Might Arrive in Your Shipment: A Few Wines Worth Knowing

One of Canada's most renowned Methode Traditionnelle wines and the flagship sparkling from Chateau des Charmes, it recently won bronze in the Decanter World Wine Awards and the International Wine Challenge. It yields toasted brioche, lemon zest, and a creamy, long-lasting mousse after at least 18 months on the lees. Chardonnay and Pinot Noir from the St. Davids Bench estate, produced in the same manner as Champagne in France. An Ontario sparkling benchmark.

Fresh plum, cherry, and red berry fruit, gentle tannins, a smooth, lingering finish, and a vibrant ruby color characterize this medium-bodied estate red. Fermented in stainless steel to allow the grape to speak for itself, it's incredibly expressive, food-friendly, and adaptable enough to transition seamlessly from a midweek supper to a weekend get-together. Naturally limited: one estate, one season, and gone when it's gone.

One of the most successful whites in the estate collection, the Fume Blanc has a rating of 92 points from Wines in Niagara. Grown between 105 and 145 meters above sea level at St. Davids Bench, it embodies the site's limestone-rich character in every sip. It is nuanced, mineral-driven, and fragrant in all the right ways. The kind of wine that, as soon as it is poured, sparks a conversation.

One of the rarest grapes in Ontario and one of the oldest in Burgundy, Chateau des Charmes is grown by a small number of farmers in this region. It has vibrant citrus and stone fruit and is crisp, mineral, and refreshingly dry, making it incredibly flexible at the table. A quarterly membership shipment is the ideal way to experience it if you haven't already.

4. Twenty-Five Percent Off Experiences and Private Events

Members enjoy 25% off venue fees when scheduling a private event at the estate, as well as 25% off all pre-booked private and group events, including as the Art of the Pair tasting and the Sushi & Sips evening.

With areas ranging from the vineyard terrace to the underground barrel cellar, Chateau des Charmes can host private parties with up to 300 guests. The member discount makes the estate much more accessible, whether you're organizing a private taste for a group, a milestone celebration, or a business dinner.

There's always a cause to return thanks to the seasonal culinary selection, which is served on the patio, tent area, and cabanas from Friday through Sunday and will soon be offered seven days a week.

5. Personal Wine Club Concierge

A personal wine club concierge is available to each member, who manages reservations, responds to inquiries, and ensures that your stay at Chateau des Charmes is just what you want.

Your concierge can help you organize a group visit, set up a private tasting, modify the contents of your quarterly shipment, or just obtain advice on what to have for dinner this evening. It's the kind of service that makes a wine club feel genuinely intimate.

Why Join Before Fall?

Niagara's most breathtaking season is fall. The vines shift. It's harvest time. Even though summer is lovely, it can't quite match the way the estate comes to life. If you sign up now, your free tastings will be available when the estate is at its best, and your first quarterly shipment will arrive right when the new vintage is being released.

Additionally, it indicates that your 15% discount is valid for the fall and holiday seasons, which are often when wine sales are at their highest and when having access to the whole Chateau des Charmes estate selection at a significant discount makes the biggest difference.
