Presenting Lavender & Vine at Chateau des Charmes: Lavender, Bubbles & Vineyard Views

Imagine a sunny July afternoon with a glass of estate sparkling wine in your hand, rows of vines extending into the Niagara Escarpment, and lavender in full bloom. The scent of summer infuses the air. The scenery is breathtaking. Additionally, you are in the center of one of the most exquisite estate homes in Niagara-on-the-Lake.

It's not a daydream. On July 1, 2026, Chateau des Charmes will open a brand-new seasonal experience called It's Lavender & Vine. And this summer day is just what you've been searching for.

What Is Lavender & Vine?

Chateau des Charmes and Terre Bleu, one of Ontario's most renowned lavender companies, which is well-known throughout the province for its recognizable Yellow Door and distinctive lavender experiences, have partnered on a first-of-its-kind project called Lavender & Vine. Together, the two companies have produced a seasonal vineyard experience that simultaneously appeals to all five senses, which seems entirely unique for Niagara wine country.

Lavender blooms beside vineyard rows. Estate sparkling wine is poured into a commemorative glass you get to take home. Arriving at St. David's, the Yellow Door—Terre Bleu's most cherished landmark—brings its botanical splendor into the center of Chateau des Charmes.

It’s beautiful. It’s photo-worthy. And it’s only here for the summer.

The Yellow Door Comes to Niagara

You are already aware of the impact if you have ever seen Terre Bleu's Yellow Door framed by lavender fields. You are stopped by it. You slow down as a result. It extends an invitation to enter.

Here it is, surrounded by lavender blossoms and the expansive summer splendor of Chateau des Charmes, amid the vineyards of St. David's. It marks the beginning of what Chateau des Charmes refers to as its "lavender story," and if this is just the beginning, the remainder of the chapter will be quite outstanding.

If you're searching for a summertime moment that feels genuinely special and ideal for taking breathtaking photos, this is the place to go.

The guided experience offers everything, whether you're a wine lover, a first-time visitor to Niagara wine country, or someone searching for a genuinely unique summer trip.

A Summer Experience — Which Means It Won’t Last

The experience at Lavender & Vine is seasonal. In summer, lavender blossoms. The color of the vineyards is reaching its peak. The estate is vibrant, fragrant, and has long, golden afternoons that seem to have been created only for this type of day.

The Yellow Door at the lavender field runs through October — catch it this season before it returns next year.

Book it for a weekend afternoon. Bring someone who is deserving of a lovely day. Take a date, a group adventure, or just some alone time in one of Niagara-on-the-Lake's greatest settings. Summertime is shorter than it seems at the moment.

Two Ontario Stories, One Summer Experience

Since 1978, Chateau des Charmes has been cultivating estate wines at St. David's. Terre Bleu, which is well-known for its lavender fields, its distinctive Yellow Door, and its intensely sensitive approach to botanical experiences, offers the estate a very different but complimentary narrative.

Together, they have produced something that neither of them could have produced on their own: a vineyard experience that is just as much about ambiance, color, and aroma as it is about wine. Only when two brands actually share a belief in quality, location, and the kinds of moments that people remember can this kind of collaboration make sense.
