Public Tours
English language public tours are conducted year-round daily at 11:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. French tours are conducted daily at
12:00 p.m. The tour concludes with an educational tasting of three VQA wines from our Estate Bottled and Single Vineyard Series.
Cost $5.00 per person

Public tours are offered on a first come first serve basis and are limited to a maximum of 30 guests. We recommend that guests arrive 15 minutes prior to the start of the tour during the peak visitor season.

Private and Group Tours
Château des Charmes is pleased to offer a very comprehensive and enjoyable private tour program that explores the art of wine making from vine to glass. Guided walking tours begin in our St. David’s Bench Vineyard (weather permitting) for an overview of winegrowing “Bosc Family-style”. Next we move into our Harvest Room and underground barrel cellars. Tours are completed with an educational and private tasting of 4 VQA wines from our Estate Bottled and Single Vineyard series including our renowned Icewine. Please allow 60 to 90 minutes for this authentic Niagara Wine Country experience. All tours are available in English or “en français”. Minimum 10 guests. Groups larger than 30 guests may be divided.

Kindly note that group tours are limited to the following times daily at 10:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m., 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m.

Winegrowing 101: Guests will enjoy a guided winery tour with an educational tasting of 4 VQA wines from our Estate Bottled and Single Vineyard series including our renowned Icewine.
Cost $10 per guest. Taxes included.

The Essence of Riesling: Riesling is one of the most versatile of all grape varieties. With the help of sensory aromas, you will explore the many nuances of Riesling made in three distinct styles; dry, late harvest and Icewine. Perhaps this is one of the reasons why Riesling has become one of Niagara’s “signature” grape varieties. This experience also includes our Winegrowing 101 tour.
Cost $15 per guest. Taxes included.

The Perfect Pair: Wine and cheese are natural partners: both are true expressions of where they are from. The essence of terroir. Following your Winegrowing 101 tour you will be guided through a selection of Canadian artisanal cheeses paired with three single-vineyard Château des Charmes wines. Learn how texture is just as important as flavour in finding the perfect match.
Cost $25 per guest plus GST.

Picnic Made For Two: Rekindle a romance or spark a new one with this private picnic for two. Your gourmet picnic basket is freshly prepared by local favourite The Pie Plate and includes a choice of fresh sandwich, a side salad, a decadent sweet treat, a bottle of water, and of course a bottle of Château des Charmes wine (white or red). But that’s not all! To conclude your romantic rendezvous you will be taken on a private tour of the winery. Your vineyard table awaits!
Cost $85 per couple plus taxes
Only one reservation per day at 12 noon.
Weekends from May through September an additional reservation will be taken at 1pm.
